Join your neighbors and community to renovate the Balboa Park Playground - become a Friend of Balboa Park Playground!

With the help of more than 100 families in our community, we have won private funding to replace the playground at Balboa Park in March 2008. But we need your help to make the new playground a reality. You can make a huge difference by helping out in the following ways:

Get Connected: get on the mailing list to get all the latest news, meeting dates, and action items. Send an email to friendsofbalboaplayground@comcast.net to sign up.

Volunteer:  We need people of all talents! Donate your time to · attend meetings with neighborhood groups and city officials · design our website · help raise matching funding · organize the Design Day and Build Day events · and lots more. To volunteer, send an email to jpkatz@sbcglobal.net, or call 415-238-2013.

Donate:  To build the playground, we need to raise $25,000 in matching funds. Donate online: go to the Neighborhood Parks Council website www.sfnpc.org, and click on the Donate Now button in the upper right hand corner. Fill in all the information, scroll to the bottom of the page to the "(OPTIONAL) NPC Sponsored Groups" - click on the pull down menu and select “Friends of Balboa Park Playground.” Or you can send a check payable to “Neighborhood Parks Council”, and write “Balboa Playground” in the memo field. Mail to Neighborhood Parks Council, 451 Hayes Street, 2nd Floor, San Francisco, CA 94102
